How to Kick in Football Fusion 3
Stay inside the arrows. Max power can dump to nothing. Extra points want max height.
Kicking is a voted job on a 14-player Football Fusion 3 server, which means you will eventually be the kicker whether you wanted the role or not. The lobby votes quarterback, captain, and kicker after the captains draft. If your name comes up, you need a meter, not a prayer. There is no auto-aim on kicks and no “just hold kick” assist. Missed extras lose games that the offense already paid for.
This page is the meter. Bind-level details still live on controls — confirm the live list in Settings, then Teleport to Practice and kick until the needle is boring. Role context is on the kicker page.
How the meter punishes greed
You are balancing power against accuracy arrows (the two triangles on the bar). The usable power band sits around and above those arrows. Going higher adds distance and shrinks the accuracy window. That is the whole skill.
Max power can dump to near-zero. If you pin the very top of the bar, the game can award you almost no power as a penalty. The ball dribbles a couple of yards and you have a screenshot you will never post. Distance kickers live under that ceiling, not on it.
Longer kicks need more power, which means a tighter accuracy window, which means you should not learn this on a 4th-and-long field goal in a public. Learn it on extra points, then walk the ball back a few yards at a time in practice.
Extra points: max height, boring power
On an extra point, set height / angle to max (or as high as the UI lets you). Low extras get blocked. Your line is not always a wall, and a line-drive PAT is a gift to a leaping tackle. Height first, then a power click that sits in the comfortable band above the arrows — not a hero max.
If your teammates do not block, you still needed the height. Blaming the left guard after a two-yard line drive is not a kick chart.
Make extras automatic before you volunteer for long field goals. A kicker who is 100% from PAT and 40% from 40 yards is usable. A kicker who “has a big leg” and misses two extras is a bench.
Field goals and the 40-yard problem
Walk the ball back in practice. Same height discipline, more power, smaller window. Your first public field-goal attempt should be a distance you have already made ten times on the practice field, not a guess from the opponent’s 40 because chat said “leg day.”
Leg Day is the badge for a field goal from the 40 in a full server. That last clause matters. Kicking it in an empty or botty server does not count. Badge rules sit on badges. Do not tank a close game to farm Leg Day unless the whole lobby agreed. Captains remember that.
Kickoffs are the same meter with a different job: hang time versus touchback greed. A squib that the returner fields in stride is worse than a touchback you could have had with a cleaner power click. Coverage is everyone else’s job; your job is not to gift a return to the 40.
Mobile: orange to orange
PC and console players are playing the arrow game. Mobile kickers time orange-to-orange on the meter. When the indicator meets orange, click. Hitting red is recoverable if you wait for the next orange instead of panic-tapping. That is the line from the WR tutorial that people misread as catching advice — it is kicking. Full mobile HUD notes are on mobile.
If the meter is unreadable, your problem is UI scale and fps, not “mobile kicking is impossible.” Fix the HUD, then take ten extras in practice. Do not take a 45-yarder in overtime as your first mobile kick of the night.
A practice loop that transfers
Settings gear → Teleport to Practice. Then:
- Ten extra points. Max height. Power in the safe band. No celebrations until ten-for-ten.
- Five kicks from a few yards further. If you miss two, step back in, not out.
- Five from the 40 only after the first two sets are clean. You are training Leg Day and real football.
- On mobile, repeat the same distances with orange-to-orange. Do not mix PC arrow advice into a thumb meter.
The practice page is the lobby for this. Pair it with Getting Started so you actually open practice before a draft.
Game flow around the kicker
You are one vote in a 14-player server, not a specialist who only loads in on fourth down. Between kicks you are a defender, a blocker, or a returner. Hold coverage. Do not wander to midfield to “get ready.” The defense guide still applies to you.
If you are a captain drafting a kicker, pick someone who has made extras in this lobby, not someone with a kicker title in their bio. Auto Captain (600 Robux) lets you lock the draft seat; it does not make you automatically good at the meter. See game passes.
Kicking percentage is a Legendary gate: 60% kicks sits next to 88 QBR and the rest of the 99 overall checklist. Missing extras for fun will stall prestige even if your passing film is clean. 99 is not guaranteed; rotten special-teams film is a common reason people prestige and start over.
There is no kick-aimbot you should use. Scripts that freeze the needle exist. The anti-cheat bans for 48 hours or permanently. Scripts and safety are the warning, not a shopping list.
A blocked extra point is usually a low trajectory, not a cursed holder. Max the height, stay off the dump-to-zero ceiling, and make the kick you already made in practice.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common Football Fusion 3 questions.
Why did my max-power kick go two yards?
The top of the bar can dump power to near-zero. Stay under that ceiling. Drill it in practice.
How do I kick on mobile?
Time orange-to-orange on the meter. Full thumb setup is on the mobile guide.
What is Leg Day?
A field goal from the 40 in a full server. Requirements are on badges. Empty servers do not count.
Do extra points need less height?
No. Use max height so they are not blocked. Role notes are on the kicker page.
The lobby voted me kicker and I have never kicked.
Leave, teleport to practice, make ten extras, rejoin. Getting Started is the habit. Defense is what you do between kicks.
